Reynolds, in the sum of $1000.00, for injuries sustaine~ when she fell on the sidewalk at the southes~st corner of Main and Fifth Street,'was referred to the Attorney and Insurance Carrier. , A Notice of Intention to circulate a petition, signed by twelve residents and property owners, was read, which Notice of Intention proposes the adoption of an Ordinance requiring the Council to levy and collect a tax of $0.15 on each $100.00 of assessed valuation to provide a swimming pool in Memorial Park and other facilities in the parks of the City. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, the Notice was received and filed. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, proper officials were authorized to execute letter of renewal of Contract N 123-s-44643 with the Public Works Office, Eleventh Naval District, covering sewage disposal at the Lighter-Than-Air Base. On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Dahl and carried, proper official was authorized to sign escrow instructions from John J. and Kathryn M. Fullenwider, for the widening of South Main Street. Communication was read from the Chamber of Commerce recommending that the name of that portion of the State Highway known as "Santa Aha Canyon Road" not be changed to "Corona Freeway", and on motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Hunter and carried, the communication was received and filed. On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Dahl and carried, the Administrator was instructed to communicate with the Corona City Council and Chamber of Commerce in regard to the recommend- ation of the Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce. On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Hunter and carried, the demands as audited by the Finance Committee were approved and Clerk authorized to issue warrants covering demands. # On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Hunter and carried, the request of the Loyal Order of Moose for permission to erect "Save Our Children" road signs at the entrances to the City, was referred to the A~ministratcr and Engineer with power to act. On recommendation of the committee and on motion of T~ustee Jerome, seconded by McBride and carried, proper officials were authorized to execute agreement between the City and Robert G. Smith, for the con- struotion of an electric sign at 826 South Main Street, which sign will extend over and upon the five-foOt set-back line established on South Main Street. On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Hunter and carried, Richard C. Marshall was re-appointed as a member of the Library Board; term to expire June 30, 1955. . On motion of Trustee Dahl, and Mrs. Hugh Gerrard were Board; # seconded by Jerome and carried, Art Blandin re-appointed as members of the Forestry terms to expire June 30, 1955.
