<br />On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Dahl and carried, the request
<br />of Dr. Julia Hinrichs for a one-hour parking zone at 407 W. let Streeti
<br />
<br />was referred to the Administrator, Engineer and Chief of Police.

<br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the
<br />notification of the State Board of Equalization of alcoholic beverage
<br />application made by Yoshiko H. Miyamae, 1301 W. 4th St., was received
<br />
<br />and filed.

<br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the
<br />applications of Oliver Dodge, Carroll B. Giles, Mary Vaughan and
<br />Carlus Keller to drive taxicabs, were received, filed and permits
<br />granted.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, proper
<br />officials were authorized to execute contract dated June 30, 1952
<br />between the City and Harrison Pontiac Company, for the purchase of
<br />automobiles for the Police Department in the sum of $14,885.00 and
<br />
<br />cancelling, contract dated July l, 1950.

<br />On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Dahl and carried, proper
<br />officials were authorized to execute agreement dated July 7, 1952
<br />between the City and Jimmie Kazaroff for the purchase of garbage until
<br />November 30, 1952 and Administrator instructed to prepare notice and
<br />specifications for sale of garbage setting date as August 4, 1952 for
<br />
<br />opening bids.

<br />On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Dahl and carried, proper
<br />official was authorized to sign escrow instructions from Sherman and
<br />Helen E. Dotson, for the widening of South Main Street.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Hunter and carried, the
<br />demands as audited by the Finance Committee were approved and Clerk
<br />authorized to issue warrants covering demands.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Hunter and carried, John Knox
<br />Jr. was appointed as a member of the Civil Service Board; term to
<br />
<br />expire December 31, 1956.

<br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Dahl,
<br />seconded by Jerome and carried, the bid of Pacific Clay Products, in
<br />the sum of $2,415.56 was accepted for the furnishing of 114~ feet of
<br />15 inch standard strength vitrified clay pipe, and'the other bid
<br />
<br />rejected.

<br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the oral
<br />request of Walter W. Cole for annexation to the City of property
<br />described as a portion of the North half, Sections l0 and ll, Township
<br />5 South, Range l0 West, shown as Parcel 37 of the Assessor's Map,
<br />being approximately eight acres lying between the River Channel and
<br />King Street south of 15th Street, was referred to the Planning
<br />Commission and County Boundaries Commission with the understanding
<br />that the property owners submit topographical map to the Planning
<br />
<br />Commission.
