<br />It was moved by T~ustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, that a
<br />Resolution be directed to the Public Works Division cf the State High-
<br />way Department requesting that electrically operated traffic signals
<br />be placed at Santa Aha Boulevard and Flower Street until such time as
<br />the Freeway is actually completed, for the reason that the City and
<br />its citizens are now losing not only thousands cf dollars in property
<br />damage accidents at the corner each month but are also suffering
<br />injuries and death at the intersection.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the follow-
<br />ing Resolution entitled..
<br />

<br /> Santa Aha requesting the installation of
<br /> electrically operated traffic lights at the
<br /> intersection of Flower Street and Santa Aha
<br /> Boulevard in Santa Ana, Californian

<br />was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 52-83 and passed by
<br />

<br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by McBride and carried, E. C.
<br />Mlssildine was appointed as a member of the Planning Commission, te~m
<br />to expire June 30, 1956, to fill the vacancy created by the resignation
<br />
<br />of C.B.Xnickerbocker.
<br />.
<br />On motion of T~ustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the Clerk
<br />was authorized to advertise for bids for the sale of buildings known
<br />as ~-2, T-3, TS and T-5, located on the south side of West Eighth
<br />Street, west of Flower Street in the area known a s Casa de Santa Ansi
<br />bids to be opened October 20, 1952, and such buildings and all parts
<br />thereof, except concrete foundations and cement floors, must be
<br />
<br />completely removed from the City property within a ninety-day period.

<br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and ca, tied, Dr.R.John.F.
<br />Renshaw was appointed Chief, Medical and Health Service of the Santa
<br />Aha Civil Defense and Disaster Council, to fill the vacancy created by.
<br />
<br />the resignation of Dr. Arthur B. Wade.

<br />On motion of Trustee JerOme, seconded by Dahl and carried, the Clerk
<br />was authorized to d~aw a warrant, payable to the Treasurer of the Unite~
<br />States, Bureau of the Census, in the sum of $2,582.00, which is a pre-
<br />payment of a portion of the cost of conducting a special census and
<br />proper official designated to execute the contract with the Census
<br />Bureau.
