No. 52-82 <br />Accept easement deeds <br />(Buchheim, Neighbour <br />and Ward) <br /> <br />On motion of T~ustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, <br />lfications for the re-roofing of the City Hall were <br />following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution authorizing and directing the <br /> City Clerk to ad%ertise for bids for the <br /> re-roofing of the City Hall" <br /> <br />was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 52-81 and passed by <br />the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees William Jerome, J.L.McBride, <br /> Milford W. Dahl, Courtney R. Chandler. <br /> Noes, Trustees None <br /> Absent, Trustees 0teen H. Hunter <br /> <br />Communication was read from Civil Defense Coordinator, together with <br />letter from Ghairman, Medical and Health Se~vices, Civil Defense <br />Board, advising Shat warehousing of Federal medical supplies in <br />Southern California may again be renewed provided the space obtained <br />is on a non-reimbumsable basis from other Federal agencies and <br />installations~ and on motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and <br />carried, the communication was received and filed. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Dahl, <br />seconded by McBride and carried, the request of residents and <br />owners on West Myrtle Street between South Patton and South Garnsey <br />Streets, that a "No School Parking Sign" be placed on West Myrtle <br />Street, was denied and Administrator to so notify the first petitioner <br />giving reasons for the denial. <br /> <br />The Administrator reported that the blind strip of land at the rear <br />of Lot at 1419-21 Spurgeon Street is used as an alley and recommended <br />that the request be denied. On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by <br />McBride and carried, the recommendation was approved and request of <br />Mesdames Webster and Herrington denied with instructions to the <br /> <br />Administrator to so notify, giving reasons for the denial. <br /> # <br /> <br />The Administrator recommended the denial of the offer of Walter C.. <br />Collins and Grace F. Vandenberg, owners of two pieces of property <br />south of Washington Avenue and east of the A.T.&.S.F. right-of-way, <br />offering to dedicate to the City a 50 foot strip for the purpose of <br />having a street through the center and agreeing to pave 36 feet but <br />preferring that no curbs or sidewalks be required. On motion of <br />Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the recommendation was <br />approved and Clerk instructed to notify the parties that the City is <br />willing to accept the dedication of the 50 foot strip but is unable t¢ <br />waive any of the improvements as provided for by the Ordinance. <br /> <br />On motion'of Trustee Dahl, seconded by McBride and carried, easement <br />deeds from Robert F. and Marion K. Buchheim, Hugh M. Jr. and Suzannah <br />S. Neighbour, and Lucien Butler and Anne Cowling Ward, conveying <br />certain property located on the west side of Baker Street, north of <br />Santa Clama Avenue, were accepted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by McBride and carried, the <br /> <br /> lng Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution Accepting Three Easement Deeds" <br /> <br /> the spec- <br />approved and the <br /> <br /> <br />
