4. Determine that, pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act, the <br />recommended actions are exempt from further review. Categorical Exemption <br />Environmental Review No. ER-2024-34 was filed for Project 22-1381. <br />27. Award a Construction Contract to CJ Concrete Construction for the Legacy Square <br />Transportation Improvements Project (Project No. 22-9001(20-AHSC-14700)) (Non - <br />General Fund) <br />Department(s): Public Works Agency <br />Recommended Action: 1. Award a construction contract to CJ Concrete <br />Construction, the lowest responsible bidder, in accordance with the base bid in the <br />amount of $1,433,200, subject to change orders in accordance with the Greenbook: <br />Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction, for construction of the Legacy <br />Square Transportation Improvements Project, for a term beginning August 20, 2024, <br />and ending upon project completion, and authorize the City Manager to execute the <br />contract. <br />2. Approve the Project Cost Analysis for a total estimated construction delivery cost of <br />$1,798,079, which includes $1,433,200 for the construction contract; $221,559 for <br />contract administration, inspection, and testing; and a $143,320 project contingency <br />for unanticipated or unforeseen work. <br />3. Determine that, pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the <br />recommended actions are exempt from further review pursuant to Section 15301(c) of <br />the CEQA guidelines for projects consisting of highways and streets, sidewalks, <br />gutters, bicycle and pedestrian trails, and similar facilities. The proposed project <br />continues to meet these parameters of the CEQA guidelines, and Categorical <br />Exemption Environmental Review No. ER-2023-92 was filed for Project 22-9001. <br />28. Agreement with Bernards Bros, Inc., for Construction Management at Risk Services <br />for the State Building Demolition Project (Project No. 24-9002) (Non -General Fund) <br />Department(s): Public Works Agency <br />Recommended Action: Authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement with <br />Bernards Bros, Inc. to perform Construction Management at Risk services for the <br />State Building Demolition Project in the amount of $765,481, with a contingency of <br />$84,519, for a total amount of $850,000, for a two-year term beginning August 20, <br />2024 and expiring August 19, 2026, with an option for two, one-year extensions <br />(Agreement No. A-2024-XXX). <br />29. Agreement with Mariposa Landscape Inc. for Landscape Maintenance Services at <br />Water Production Facilities and the Corporate Yard (Specification No. 24-018) (Non - <br />General Fund) <br />Department(s): Public Works Agency <br />Recommended Action: Authorize the City Manager to execute an agreement with <br />Mariposa Landscape Inc. for landscape maintenance services for a three-year term <br />City Council 13 8/20/2024 <br />
