(9) <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />EXHIBIT I <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />INTRODUCTION AND BACKGROUND <br />The City of Santa Ana, Water Resources Division issues this bid document to procure full and <br />complete contract landscape maintenance at designated sites, herein described, and that such <br />sites be kept in a healthy, weed -free, vigorous, and well -kept state at all times. The Contractor <br />shall provide at his own risk and cost all labor, materials, tools, equipment, traffic control and <br />miscellaneous devices, transportation, hauling, dumping, fertilizers, insecticides, rodenticides, <br />chemicals and other items needed to perform landscape maintenance work as directed herein. <br />The Contractor shall provide complete landscape maintenance at all work sites, including, but <br />not limited to pruning, structural shaping of young trees, shrubs, and ground cover plants; <br />trimming overgrowth of all foliage and preventing growth on top of city equipment; removing and <br />controlling weeds; controlling plant diseases and pests; mowing turf; edging turf and ground <br />cover; irrigating plant material; maintaining and repairing irrigation systems; removing trash and <br />debris; and other maintenance required to maintain the work sites in a safe, attractive and <br />useable condition. The Contractor shall maintain all plant material in good condition with <br />accepted standards for growth, color, and appearance. <br />Furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision to perform landscape maintenance as <br />described herein including, but no limited to, the following: <br />• Hnrdscape cleaning <br />• Weeding, cultivating and brush control both mechanically and with chemicals <br />• Fertilizing <br />• Shrub and groundcover trimming, pruning, training <br />• Mowing and verticutting <br />• General rodent, pest and disease control on landscape planting and turf <br />• General drainage structure and system maintenance <br />• Reporting for vandalism, graffiti, or any safety concerns <br />• General litter control, refuse removal, and grounds policing <br />• Plant replacement <br />• Access roadway clearance and visibility maintenance <br />• Minor tree pruning and staking of trees under 12 feet in height <br />• Irrigation programming, monitoring, maintenance, and repair <br />• Emergency maintenance/service <br />
