Training <br />For as long as grant funds exist the task force will pay for any pimping/human trafficking training <br />and/or attending conferences, including registration fees, transportation and lodging. All other <br />training will be the responsibility of the respective agency. <br />Roles and Responsibilities of the Partners: <br />Santa Ana Police Department <br />♦ Enhance interagency collaboration in order to identify, rescue, and assist victims of all forms <br />of human trafficking. <br />♦ Provide an investigator to work on -site at APD through the term of this MOU. <br />♦ Provide a vehicle with all necessary equipment to conduct undercover investigations, <br />including a minimum of blue and red front "take down" lights. Provide a department issued cellular <br />phone for use by their investigator and a laptop with access paid data collection sites. <br />e Provide all necessary tactical and officer safety equipment for use by its investigator. <br />♦ Send any investigations not related to OCHTTF investigations to SAPD for approval and <br />filing. <br />♦ In the case of dissimilar policies between agencies, investigators from the SAPD shall <br />follow that agency's policies (use of force, pursuit, etc.). <br />♦ Investigate any citizen complaints filed against members of SAPD assigned to the OCHTTF. <br />♦ Work to enhance the ability of professionals and key stakeholders within the community to <br />better understand human trafficking and more effectively identify and serve victims. <br />♦ Plan investigations and prosecutions at the state and federal level. <br />4 <br />The duration of this MOU will encompass the entire <br />FY 23 Enhanced Collaborative Model Task Force to Combat Human Trafficking project funding cycle, <br />anticipated to occur throughout 10/01/2023 -- 09/30/2026. <br />
