On motion of Trustee Hunte~, <br />seconded by Jerome and carried, the Clerk was instructed to notify the <br />Library Board it is the City Councills desire that they proceed with <br /> <br />In Re <br />Request <br />Jimmie Kazaroff <br /> (garbage contract) <br /> <br />the survey and accept the bid of Louis J. Kroeger and Associates. <br /> <br />Communication was read from Jimmle Kazaroff requesting release from <br /> <br />payment lo. garbage received from the City for the month of October, an~ <br />on motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br />Administrator was instructed to inform Mr. Kazaroff that the Council <br /> <br />In Re <br />Cancellation of <br />garbage contract <br />Jlmmie Eazaroff <br /> <br />In Re <br />Communication <br />Or.Co. Water Dist. <br /> <br />unable to deviate from the terms of the contract or waive any payments. <br /># <br />Communication was read from Jlmmie Eazaroff advising of cancellation <br /> <br />of garbage contract as of November 1, 1952, and on motion of Trustee <br /> <br />Jerome, seconded by McBride and carried, the communication was receives <br />and filed. <br /> <br />0ommunioation was read from Orange County Water District together with <br /> <br />copy of Resolution adopted by the Board of Directors reference legal <br /> <br />problems which are involved in any effort toward an approach to saving <br /> <br />the basin from destruction by depletion and salt water encroachment, <br /> <br />and urging that the City Attorney be authorized to cooperate by lending! <br />legal counsel and advice. On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by <br /> <br />McBride and carried, the communication wae received, filed and the Cit~i <br /> <br />In Re <br />Aerial Photographic <br />Survey - Fairchild <br />Aerial Surveys, Inc. <br /> <br />In Re <br />Petition <br />Requesting footbridge <br />over Santiago Creek <br /> <br />Attorney instructed to act with the legislative subcommittee in an <br />effortto recommend an approach to solving the water problem. <br /># <br />An offer was read from Fairchild Aerial Surveys, Inc. for furnishing <br /> <br />at the price stated. <br />. <br />A petition was read signed by ninety-four property owners requesting <br />that a footbridge be erected, constructed and maintained for school, <br />children over Santiago Creek from the west end of River Lane to the <br />north end cf Baker Street. On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by <br />McBride and carried, <br /> <br />of certain lmaterials in connection with an aerial photographic survey <br />of the City, to the extent as outlined in letter dated October 18, 1952!i, <br />for the sum of $1,145.00, plus State Sales Tax; the survey to be made <br />at the same time the aerial survey of the County of Orange is made, and! <br />on motion of T~ustee Hunter, seconded by McBride and carried, the <br />Administrator and City Engineer were authorized to purchase the materials <br /> <br /> the petition.wae referred to the Administrator <br /> <br />In Re <br />Beverage <br />Applications <br /> <br />In Re <br />Taxicab <br />Application <br /> <br />City Engineer for investigation and report at the next meeting. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Hunter and carried, the <br />notifications of the State 'Board of Equalization of alcoholic beverage <br />applications made by Don L. Kester and William H. Puffer, 1206 E. 4th <br />Street, and, Dorothea E. and Jesse F. McCowan, 1111 South Bristol <br />Street, were received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Hunter and oa~ied, the <br />application of Dale J. Ferguson, to drive taxicabs, was received and <br /> <br />permit granted. <br /># <br /> <br /> <br />
