Applicants only have to create a login.gov account once. For applicants that are existing SAM <br />users, use the same email address for the login.gov account as with SAM.gov so that the two <br />accounts can be linked. <br />For more information on the login.gov requirements for SAM registration, refer to SAM. gov <br />Home. <br />5. Register with SAM: All organizations applying online through Grants.gov must register with <br />SAM. Failure to register with SAM will prevent your organization from applying through <br />Grants.gov. Create a Grants.gov Account: The next step in the registration process is to create an account <br />with Grants.gov. Applicants must know their or their organization's UEI number to complete this <br />process. <br />For more information, follow the on -screen instructions or refer to Applicant Registration I <br />Grants.gov. <br />7. Add a Profile to a Grants.gov Account: A profile in Grants.gov corresponds to a single <br />applicant organization the user represents (i.e., an applicant) or an individual applicant. If you <br />work for or consult with multiple organizations and have a profile for each, you may log in to one <br />Grants.gov account to access all your grant applications. To add an organizational profile to your <br />Grants.gov account, enter the UEI number for the organization in the UEI field while adding a <br />profile. <br />12 <br />
