Pac.R.R.Co. <br />(Sanitary sewer lines) <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Jerome and carried, communi- <br />cation from property owners adjacent to Edinger and Cypress expressim~ <br />appreciation for recent action in establishing a stop signal at the <br />intersection of Cypress Avenue and East Edinger Street, was received <br />and filed. <br /> <br />Communication was read from H.D.Pickering, Poundmaster, requesting <br />payment .of compensation which was discontinued as of Feb~. 4th, t943 <br />for services rendered as Poundmaster. On recommendation of the City <br />Attorney and on motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Hunter and carried. <br /> <br />the request was denied. <br /> # <br /> <br />Communication was~read fro~ Barbara Hewes requesting an appointment on <br />behalf of the third grade pupils of Spurgeon School to visit the City <br />Hall, and on motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Dahl and carried, <br /> <br />the request was referred to the Administrator for an appointment. <br /># <br /> <br />Communication was read from Mrs. Robert Weiland requesting that a <br />crossing guard b'e placed at Bristol Street to protect the children who <br />attend the Glenn L. Martin school, and on motion of Trustee Dahl, <br />seconded by Jerome and carried, the request was referred to the <br />Administrator and Chief of Police for investigation and report at the <br /> <br />next meeting. <br /># <br /> <br />A petition was read signed by nineteen members of the Spumgeon School <br />Parent Teacher Association requesting that a traffic guard be placed <br />at the intersection cf Broadway and Cubbon Streets, and on motion of <br />Trustee Dab_l, seconded by Hunter and carried, the request was referred <br />to the Administrator and Chief of Police for investigation and report <br /> <br />at the next meeting. <br /># <br /> <br />Communication was read from the City Engineer advising that improve- <br />ments within the boundaries of Tract No. 1508 have been completed, and1 <br />on motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, bond filed <br />by Barhugh Estates, Inc., in the sum of $40,000.00, was ordered <br /> <br />released. <br /># <br /> <br />Communication was read from the City Engineer advising that improve- <br />ments within the boundaries of Tract No. 1498 have been completed, and <br />on motion cf T~uetee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, bond filed <br />by DeVote, Fox and DeVote, in the sum of $33,000.00, was ordered <br /> <br />released. <br /># <br /> <br />On motion cf Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the app- <br />lication of Southern Counties Gas Company of California for a general <br />increase in gas rates under Section 454 of the Public Utilities Code, <br /> <br />was received and filed. <br /># <br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, ~conded by Jerome and carried, Order of <br />Dismissal before the Public Utilities Commission of application of <br />the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company, dividing the Orange <br /> <br />County Directory, was received and.filed. <br /># <br />On motion of Trustee Mc~ide, seconded by Jerome and carried, proper <br />officers were authorized to exequte Easement Agreement between the <br />Southern Pacific Railroad Company, its lessee Southern Pacific Company <br /> <br /> <br />
