Both Garden Grove and Santa Ana maintain as part of <br />their municipal service, an organized and equipped fire depart- <br />ment, charged with the duty of fire protection and rescue within <br />the corporate limits of each of said cities. <br />2. Investigation has disclosed that it would be to <br />the mutual benefit of each city that the services of each fire <br />department be, in some circumstances, extended outside of the <br />corporate limits of each city and into the other city. <br />3. The parties desire to enter into a mutual response <br />pact, wherein in some circumstances Garden Grove will respond to <br />incidents within the corporate limits of the City of Santa Ana <br />and conversely and mutually the City of Santa Ana will in some <br />circumstances respond to incidents within the corporate limits <br />of Garden Grove. <br />THE PARTIES MUTUALLY AGREE AS FOLLOWS: <br />4. The parties hereto, pursuant to the authority <br />granted by Section 55632 of the Government Code, hereby contract, <br />to respond to emergency alarms outside their corporate <br />geographical limitations, and within the corporate geographical <br />
