Specific details of the services to be provided <br />under this Agreement shall be: determined by the respective fire <br />chiefs -of each city; however, it is understood that all.plans <br />which'deal. with emergency response shall. adhere as closely as <br />practical to the "nearest: unit" concept which forms . the basis <br />for -this mutual response pact, except that Paramedic service is <br />not included'in this agreement- <br />6. Each of the parties will provide fire apparatus <br />to geographical areas of the other city, accompanied by a <br />minimum of three men, including a. company commander. <br />7. The City of Garden Grove agrees to indemnify and <br />hold the City of Santa Ana harmless from Loss, liability, claim, <br />suit or judgment resulting from work or acts done or omitted by <br />the City of Santa Ana <br />,.in carrying out this agreement. The City <br />of Santa Ana agrees to indemnify and hold the City of Garden Grove <br />harmless from any :Loss, liability, claim, suit, or judgment <br />resulting from work or acts done or omitted by the City of Garden <br />Grove in carrying out this agreement. Those provisions are <br />included in accordance with Government Code Section 895.4 and <br />are applied to all parties herein. <br />8. Each city shall maintain suitable workmen's compen- <br />sation coverage for its own employees without cost to the; other <br />city, and each city shall payroll its own personnel. without cost <br />to the other city. <br />9. Each of the parties hereto shall be fully res- <br />ponsible for all repair, maintenance and upke,ep of all equipment <br />- 2 -- <br />
