I 2 THIS AGREEHE]T made and entered into this _I1diday of Nlay___, 3 197Z. by and between the CITY OF 3AMTA ANA, a Municipal corporation, 4 hereinafter designated ss''SANTA AMA", and CITY OF GARDEH GROVE, a 5 Municipal corporation" hereinafter designated as "Garden Grove". 6 RECITALS 7 Considerable traffic con;estian presently exists and is progressively 8 increasing at the intersection of Westminster Avenue and Clinton Street. 9 A study has teen ccip!eted and tie conclusion drawn that traffic 10 conditions at said intersection xarrant the installation of a traffic II signal and intersection lighting system for the proper and orderly movement 12 of traffic. 13 Garden Grove is willing to conperute with Santa Ana in the 14 installation of the traffic signal and intersection lighting sysiem' and 15 Santa Ana is willing to cooperate with Garden Grove in these matters and 16 contribute to the maintenance of said system subsequent to their installation: I7 The intersection is to be improved with u traffic signal anJ intar- I8 section lighting system and associated rood work. Prepare the detailed plans, specifications and estimate 23 for the Project. 24 B. Prepare map and deed for all necessary additional rig4t 25 of way. 25 C. Have jurisdiction of the construction. 27 D. Be and is hereby designated as the contracting and 28 construction agent fnr the parties to do and perform all 29 acts andtMn]sxecessary or required in order to coostrucr 30 the Project in accordance with the plans and specifications, 211 including material control, inspection of the construction
