304 <br /> <br />In Re <br />Communication <br />City Attorney <br />(extension Orange <br />Ave. ) <br /> <br />Communication was read from the City Attorney reference extension <br />Orange Avenue in a southerly direction on a gradual "S" turn at <br />Street and advising that on August 18, 1952, Application No. 33678 <br /> <br />filed for authorization before the Public Utilities Commission of <br /> <br />State and the matter concluded on December 9, 1952, as decision No <br />48030 authorized the City to proceed with the construction of this <br /> <br />crossing. On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by McBride and carl <br /> <br /> In Re <br /> Request <br /> Dept. of Motor <br />ii Vehicles <br /> ( curb marking) <br /> <br />the communication was received and filed. <br /> <br />Communication was read from the CitY Engineer and Chief of Police <br />stating that the Motor Vehicle Department located on North Main St2 <br />verbally requested that all of the curb in front of its building <br />painted red; that an additional 20 feet of curb north of the north <br />(exit) drive be painted red and that a crosswalk be established. <br />The committee recommended that l0 feet of curb be painted ~ed scut <br />the north drive, also 10 feet north of the south drive; that a crc <br /> <br />walk be established; and that the Department of Motor Vehicles ins1 <br />a sign at the south drive indicating that there is parking ~n the <br />On motion of Truetee Hunter, seconded by McBride and carried, the <br /> <br />il In Re <br />i Petition <br />~ Dust condition <br /> Dimension Mill <br />ii & Cabinet CO. <br /> <br />I In Re <br />~ Flood Control <br /> Report - <br /> Santa Ana River <br /> from 17th St. <br /> <br />recommendation was approved; the City Engineer instructed to preps <br />the Resolution and Clerk to notify the Department of Motor Vehicle <br /> <br />of Council action. <br /># <br /> <br />A report was read from the Chief Building Department reference pet~ <br />signed by Tony Sangermano etal requesting that action be taken to <br />the dust condition emanating from the Dimension Mill and Cabinet Cc <br />913 East Sth Street.~ On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by <br />and carried, the report was received, filed and Clerk instructed <br /> <br />furnish Mr. Sangermano with copy of the report. <br /># <br /> <br />The Clerk read report of She City Engineer and Flood Control <br />pertaining to flood conditions and protective structures along the <br />Santa Ana River from 17th Street northerly to the city's boundary, <br /> <br />on motion of T~ustee Dahl, seconded by Hunter and carried, the re <br /> <br />was referred to a committee of the Administrator, Trustee McBride, <br /> <br />In Re <br />Request <br />Emil W. Foust <br /> (widen driveway) <br /> <br />City Engineer and Attorney for recommendation and report. <br /> <br />A report was read from the committee reference request of Emil W. <br />2240 South Main Street, for permission to widen the driveway on <br /> <br />Broadway by removing the portion of the curbing, at his own expense <br /> <br />and on motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by McBride and carried, the <br /> <br />recommendation was approved and permission granted to widen the drl <br /> <br />In Re <br />Reques~ <br />Metal stud partition <br />be placed in basement <br />of new Fire Station <br /> <br />way, subject to conditions. <br />. <br />Communication was read from the Building Committee requesting that <br /> <br />additional metal stud partition be placed in the basement of the <br />fire station,for the sum of $933.23, and on motion of Trustee <br /> <br />seconded by Dahl and carried, the request was granted and work <br /> <br />In Re <br />South Main Street <br />widening project <br /> <br />authorized. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Dahi and carried, the Cit <br />Administrator was instructed to have a report prepared for present <br /> <br />~f <br /> <br />.on¸ <br /> <br />,d e <br /> <br />~n <br /> <br />to the City Council.on or before the first regular meeting of the <br /> <br /> <br />
