CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />After heavy windstorms, the entire contract area shall be cleaned of litter, fallen <br />branches, etc. Contractor shall respond to calls from City of Santa Ana immediately. <br />Contractor shall patrol all areas for trees down, fallen branches, hanging branches, <br />debris, and other potential hazards. <br />The Contractor shall keep sidewalks and all paved areas in the medians and under <br />overpasses swept and cleaned of any debris, weeds, dirt, or soil. Tree wells shall be <br />maintained weed free. <br />1.8. OTHER REQUIREMENTS <br />1.8.1 NEW CONSTRUCTION <br />Where new construction or redevelopment may involve a significant part of a work site, the <br />City of Santa Ana may delete a portion of or the entire work site from contractual <br />maintenance during the construction and plant establishment period. The deletion of this <br />portion of work will be reflected as a reduction in the monthly payment to the contractor. <br />The amount of reduction will be based on the percentage of area involved and agreed upon <br />by the City and the Contractor. <br />1.8.2 INSPECTION <br />The City of Santa Ana shall weekly and/or as needed/upon request inspect the work area <br />to ensure adequacy of maintenance and that methods of performing the work are in <br />compliance with the contract. However, this shall not be construed to relieve the <br />Contractor's supervisor of the duty to provide continuous inspection of the work area. <br />Contractor shall provide a dedicated supervisor to Santa Ana for this contract. <br />Discrepancies and deficiencies in the work shall be corrected by the Contractor <br />immediately. The City expects a high level of service and maintenance. <br />1.8.3 NEW MAINTENANCE AREAS <br />Additional routine maintenance may be added to this contract. Payment for add -on <br />maintenance shall be computed based on specified rates provided by the contractor. <br />1.8.4 DAMAGE REPAIR <br />All damage incurred by the Contractor's operations shall be repaired or replaced in kind <br />and size at the Contractor's expense. <br />Irrigation repairs shall be completed within twenty-four (24) hours using approved <br />materials. <br />
