Beginning at the Northeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 17, Township 5 South, Range 10 West in the Rancho Las Bolsas, in the County of Orange, State of California, as said Section is shown on a map recorded in Book 51, Page 12, of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of said Orange County; said Northeast corner being a point On the City Boundary of the City of Santa Ana as said City Boundary is described in Ordinance NS-367; thence departing from said City Boundary South 89° 36' 44" West along the North line of said Southwest Quarter and along the City Boundary of the City of Garden Grove as described in Annex- ation Number 103, 660.30 feet to the West line of the East half of said Southwest Quarter and to an angle point in said City Boundary of the City of Garden Grove; thence along said West line and along said Garden Grove City Boundary as des- cribed in Annexation Number 97, South 00° 40' 17" East 1,237.93 feet to the South line of said Southwest Quarter; thence along the West line of the North half of the Northeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 17, and along said Garden Grove City Boundary South O0~ 40' 03" East 329.82 feet to the South line of said North half and to an angle point in said City Boundary of the City of Garden Grove; thence along last mentioned South line and along said City Boundary of the City of Garden Grove, as described in Annexation N%m~ber 100, North 88° 10' 57" East 660.45 feet to the East line of said North half and to said City Boundary of the City of Santa Aha as described in Ordinance Number NS-367; thence along said East line and along said Santa Aha City Boundary North 00" 40' 35" West 329.72 feet to said South line of the Southwest Quarter of the North- east Quarter of Section 17; thence along the East line of said Southwest Quarter and along said Santa Aha City Boundary North 00° 40' 11" West 1,221.56 feet to the point of beginning. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That "Sugar East of Ward Annex" is hereby designated as an appropriate name by which said territory shall be known for the purpose of this annexation. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That notice is hereby given that July 3, 1961, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Third and Main Streets, Santa Ana, California, is the time and place fixed at which said council will hear protests against this annexation made by any person owning property within said territory. At any time before said hour any owner of property within said territory may file written protest against this proposed annexation. Such protest shall state the name of the owner of the property affected and the descrip- tion and area of the property in general terms, all as provided for in Section 35312 of the Government C~e of the State of California. -2-
