The Administrator reported on communication from Mrs. J.P.Sutherland, Chairman, Sub-Committee on Annexation, stating that the citizens of Costa Mesa are planning to incorporate the area and suggested that thei! City withhold action until the determination is made. On motion of T~ustee Dahl, seconded by McBride and carried, the Clerk was authorized to mall sample ballots to the registered voters for the Municipal Electlon to be held ApriI 7, 1953. # On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by McBride and carried, the basic bid of the American Rubber Manufacturing Company was accepted for the furnishing of fire hose, with the additional purchase cf 500 feet or ten lengths of 2~" hose, at an approximate cost cf $2500.00, and all other bids rejected.
