ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT ADDENDUM <br />Bristol Street Widening Phase 111A — Civic Center Drive to Washington Avenue <br />George Washington Carver 1401 W Santa Ana Boulevard 0.25 miles Southwest of Bristol Street at Civic <br />Elementary School Santa Ana, CA 92703 Center Drive intersection <br />Santa Ana College 1530 West 17th Street 0.20 mile West of Bristol Street between <br />Santa Ana, CA 927017 _ Washington Avenue and 171h Street <br />Refer to response in 3,8 (a.), above. Health risks associated with Project construction -related activities <br />would be less than significant. Compliance with existing regulations would ensure that impacts are not <br />greater than previously analyzed in the 1990 FEISIEIR. <br />Mitigation Measures <br />No new additional mitigation measures are required. <br />d.) Be located on a site which is included on a list of hazardous materials sites compiled pursuant to <br />Government Code Section 65962.5 and, as a result, would it create a significant hazard to the <br />public or the environment? <br />The Project area is developed with residential, institutional, open space, commercial and retail uses. <br />Pursuant to the Phase I Initial Site Assessment Update prepared by RBF Consulting (2015), the Project <br />site includes a former service station location where gasoline was reported to have contaminated the <br />groundwater; the site was under -going site remediation through appropriate state and local agency <br />standards as required. To that end, the Santa Ana Regional Water Quality Control Board issued a case <br />closure letter dated September 3, 2014 stating that no further action was required for the site. Compliance <br />with existing regulations and mitigation measures from the 1990 FEISIEIR would ensure that impacts are <br />not greater than previously analyzed in the 1990 FEISIEIR. <br />Mitigation Measures <br />No new additional mitigation measures are required. <br />e.) For a project located within an airport land use plan or, where such a plan has not been adopted, <br />within two miles of a public airport or public use airport, would the project result in a safety <br />hazard for people residing or working in the project area? <br />The Project site is not within an airport land use plan. The closest airport to the site is John Wayne — <br />Orange County Airport, more than five miles southeast of the Project site. The proposed widening would <br />not introduce any new risks or increase risks associated with the Project. <br />Mitigation Measures <br />No new additional mitigation measures are required. <br />f.) For a project within the vicinity of a private airstrip, would the project result in a safety hazard <br />for people residing or working in the project area? <br />The Project site is not within the vicinity of a private airstrip and would not create any safety hazard.
