Larson etux <br />9.462 acres located <br />west of King and south <br />of W. l?th St. <br /> <br />In Re <br />Instructions to <br />Administrator <br />(Emmet Rogers <br />Tract No. 1739) <br /> <br /> call upon hit office if the occasion arises. <br /> ,, <br /> The Clerk submitted a report and stated that a number of bueiness <br /> <br />firms have failed to file or make payments on City Sales Tax over a <br /> considerable period of time. It was moved by Trustee Dahl, seconded <br /> by Jerome and carried, that the business firms who are in arrears on <br /> payment of City Sales Tax be ordered to show cause why their Sales <br /> Tax permits should not be revoked under the Sales Tax provisions$ and <br /> the City Attorney was instructed to prepare necessary proceedings and <br /> report ordered filed. On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome <br /> and carried, the City Attorney was instructed to file action against <br /> the person who has discontinued business, for the purpose of collecting <br /> <br /> delinquent Sales Tax. <br /> # <br /> <br /> The oral report of the Administrator was accepted and on motion of <br /> Trustee Dahl, seconded by Hunter and carried, the City Attorney was <br /> instructed to immediately prepare a comprehensive subdivision Ordinance <br /> to include restraint on metes and bounds land division. <br /> <br /> The Administrator reported that the appointed committee was not in <br /> agreement reference request of Williams Electric Company that a twenty- <br /> minute zone be established at 515 North Rose Street, and again recommended <br /> the adoption of a Resolution which would extend the Central Traffic <br /> District to include Ross Street between Fifth and Sixth Streets and <br /> on Sixth Street between Birch and Ross Streets. On recommendation of~ <br /> <br />the Administrator and on motion of Trustee Jerome, <br />and carried, the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution Declaring Central Traffic <br /> Districts in the City of Santa Ana# <br /> <br />was read, considered, designated Resolution No. <br />the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees <br /> <br />seconded by Dahl <br /> <br />53-22 and passed by <br /> <br />William Jerome, J.L.McBride, <br />Orson H. Hunter, Milford W. Dahl, <br />Courtney R. Chandler. <br />None <br />None <br /> <br /> Noes, T~ustees <br /> Absent, Trustees <br /> <br />The Administrator presented a Map, together with a communication <br />advising that Carl O. Larson and Thalla L. Larson wish to annex to the <br />City 9.~62 acres of land located west of King Street and south of West <br />Seventeenth Street. On moti.on of Trustee McBride, seconded by DatLI <br />and carried, the Map was approved and the Administrator instructed to <br />proceed according to the Map, subject to determination that the area <br /> <br />will not include at any point the top of the dyke or levee. <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Hunter and carried, the <br />Administrator was delegated and authorized to negotiate with Emmet C. <br />Rogers to work out a solution to the problem of the dedication of the <br />creek area on the northerly boundary of the subdivision, covered by <br />Tentative Map of Tract No. 1739, for flood control and flood water <br />protection and to call upon the Engineer's office to contact the five <br />owners of property located on the east side of Baker Street between <br />Santa Clara and Riviera Street to determine if they will construct <br /> <br />sidewalks in front of their residences. <br /># <br /> <br /> <br />
