Larson etux <br />9.~62 acres located <br />W. of King and south <br />of W. 17th St. <br /> <br />Communication was read from California Roadside Council urging opposition <br />to Senate Bills 733 and 734, reference to billboard control, and on <br />motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Dahl and carried, the communicat! <br /> <br />was received and filed. <br />. <br />Communication was read from Disabled American Veterans requesting <br />permission to display the Dillinger car on March 5th, 6th and ?th and <br />reservation of the first 'four parking spaces east of Main Street, on <br /> <br />the north side of Fourth Street, On motion of Trustee Jerome, <br /> <br />seconded by Dahl and carried, the request was referred to the Chief <br /> <br />of Pollce~ with power to act. <br />. <br /> <br />A request was read from the First Presbyterian Church re-submitting <br />their request for a two-car white loading zone to be established on <br />the east side of Sycamore Street, Just 'north of Sixth Street, and on <br />motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Dahl and carried, the request <br />was referred to the committee on curb usage with instructions to <br />investigate the use of meter hoodm at this location and revision of <br /> <br />Ordinance on hoods. Appointed committee to report at the next meeting. <br />. <br /> <br />A petition was read signed by six persons requesting additional and <br />better signs on Seventeenth Street to control the traffic during school <br />hours at the Jefferson School and that the "School Crossing" markings <br />be repainted. On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and <br />carried, the request.was referred to the Administrator, Engineer and <br />Chief of Police. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, proper <br />officials were authorized to execute lease dated March 2nd, 1953, <br />between the City and the Boy Scouts of America, fo,r the rental of <br />certain space in the west portion of Building T-12 at 110~ West 8th <br /> <br /> Street, at a rental of $125.00 per month. <br />. <br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, proper <br />officials were authorized to execute lease dated March 2nd, 1953, <br />between the City and the Girl Scouts of America, for the rental of <br />certain space in the east portion of Building T-12 at ll04 West 8th <br /> <br /> Street, at a rental of $100.00 per month. <br /> . <br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, proper <br /> <br /> officials were au.thorized to execute agreement dated February 2~, 1953~ <br /> <br />between the City and the County of Orange for orchard heater inspectio~t. <br /> # <br /> Communication was read from the City Engineer recommending that a <br /> boulevard stop be placed.on Flower Street at Bixth making a four-way <br /> stop intersection and submitting a Resolution establishing boulevard <br /> stops. The Administrator reported that additional time was needed to <br /> investigate the matter and on motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by <br /> Jerome and carried, action on the Resolution was deferred until the <br /> <br /> next meeting. <br /> . <br /> On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Jerome and carried, a <br /> petition requesting that the City annex 9.$62 acres of land located <br /> west of King Street and. south of West Seventeenth Street, owned by <br /> Carl O. and Thalia L.
