L( <br />AGREEMENT FOR CONSULTING SERVICES <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered this 22nd day of <br />October, 1993, by and between the City of Santa Ana, a municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City"), and Landscape <br />Irrigation Consulting ("Consultant"). <br />W I T N E S S E T H <br />.. ... . .... .. <br />Recitals: (C <br />A. City distributed a "Request for Proposal" (11RFP11) to <br />design firms to develop plans and contract documents for the <br />construction of the Santa Ana Zoo Irrigation System and Domestic <br />Water Rehabilitation in the City of Santa Ana. <br />B. In response to the RFP, Consultant submitted a <br />proposal ("Proposal") , dated August 27, 1993, to perform such <br />services. <br />C. The RFP and the Proposal are public records on file <br />in the offices of the City's Recreation and Community Services <br />Agency. <br />D. City desires to retain Consultant to perform the <br />services set forth in the RFP and the Proposal. <br />WHEREFORE, in consideration of their mutual and <br />respective covenants and promises hereinafter contained and made, <br />and subject to all the terms and conditions hereof, the parties <br />hereto do hereby agree as follows: <br />I. GENERAL PROJECT OBJECTIVES: <br />The purpose of this consultant agreement is to contract for <br />consultant services to design the Santa Ana Zoo Irrigation System <br />and Domestic Water Rehabilitation. Consultant will identify design <br />solutions, prepare construction documents (plans and <br />specifications), detailed cost estimates, and will provide limited <br />field observation during the construction phase for this project. <br />This project requires the consultant to provide for and/or <br />coordinate the professional services of an irrigation designer and <br />a civil engineer. The Santa Ana Zoo is located in the eastern <br />portion of the city and is encompassed by the Interstate 5 freeway <br />to the east, First Street to the north, Elk Lane to the west and <br />Chestnut Avenue to the south. The Santa Ana Zoo is one of the <br />finer zoos of Orange County. <br />A.
