a. Master Plan for all exist, and known future <br />irrigation water needs conforming to the Ten <br />Year Development Plan and the Long Range <br />Master Plan of the Santa Ana Zoo. <br />b. Master Plan for all existing and known future <br />domestic water needs including a domestic <br />water line for animals and a fire line <br />conforming to the Ten Year Development Plan <br />and the Long Range Master Plan. <br />C. Develop Master Plan to show size and location <br />of both domestic and irrigation distribution <br />loops that will be used to supply both <br />existing and known future irrigation and <br />domestic water needs. Irrigation systems for <br />each exhibit section would branch off from the <br />irrigation distribution loop. <br />d. Implement an initial phase development plan <br />with the intent of using the proposed <br />irrigation distribution loop to service an <br />interim irrigation system for the existing zoo <br />facilities. <br />e. Prepare future water service plan and interim <br />irrigation plan for zoo. <br />2. Design Requirements: <br />Design improvements must meet approval from the <br />Recreation and Community Services Agency, Public <br />Works Agency, the Planning and Building Agency <br />(permits), and conform to all required codes <br />pertaining to this project and its scope of work. <br />Submittal must include water calculations as <br />required by AB 325. <br />B. scope of Work <br />The following professional tasks shall be provided by the <br />consulting firm including preliminary designs, <br />construction documents (plans and specifications), <br />preliminary and final cost estimates, and construction <br />services for the master irrigation utilities plan, master <br />domestic water distribution plan, and interim irrigation <br />design plan. Based on the city's input and consultant's <br />initial field observations of the existing site <br />conditions, the consultant will begin preparation for the <br />design of this project. The consultant shall identify <br />potential problems, create positive communications <br />between City staff and consultant. A refined project <br />schedule shall be submitted to the City's project manager <br />at the beginning of the project.
