34.Adoption of an Extension and First Amendment to the Memorandum of <br />Understanding ("MOU") by the Service Employees International Union Local <br />721 Part -Time Civil Service Employees Unit ("SEIU-PTCS") <br />Department(s): Human Resources <br />Recommended Action: Authorize the City Manager to execute an extension and <br />first amendment to the existing Memorandum of Understanding with SEIU-PTCS <br />regarding wages, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment effective <br />through June 30, 2025, and authorize non -substantive changes, which may be <br />necessary to implement the agreement (Agreement No. A-2024-137). <br />MINUTES: Councilmember Hernandez spoke in support of the item. <br />Mayor Amezcua spoke regarding layoffs in 2008 and requested an update on the <br />number and status of part-time employees. <br />35. Resolution, Agreement, and Appropriation Adjustment Accepting the FY 2023 <br />Emergency Management Performance Grant (Non -General Fund) <br />Department(s): Police Department <br />Recommended Action: <br />1.
