RESOLUTION NO. 61-242 APPROVING MAP AND DECLARING <br />INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF WASHINGTON AVENUE <br />EAST OF THE NEW ALIGNMENT OF JACKSON STREET <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the vacation of that portion of Washington Avenue <br />herein described has been recommended by the Department of Public <br />Works and referred to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby <br />adopts the map attached hereto, orders the same filed with the orig- <br />inal of this Resolution in the office of the Clerk of the Council, <br />and reference is hereby made to said map for the exterior boundaries <br />of the street right of way proposed to be vacated. <br /> <br /> The City Council declares its intention to proceed with this <br />street vacation under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of <br />1941 (Sections 8300 through 8374 of the California Streets and High- <br />ways code) to vacate that portion of Washington Avenue, in the City <br />of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br /> That portion of Washington Avenue as shown on a map of <br /> Tract Number 1022, Recorded in Book 34, Pages 20 and 21, <br /> Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California, <br /> lying East of a line that is parallel with and 576.52 <br /> feet East, measured at right angles, from the center line <br /> of Bewley Street as shown on said map of Tract Number 1022. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That November 20, 1961, at the hour <br /> <br />of 7:30 P.M., in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Third and Main Streets, <br />Santa Aha, California, is hereby fixed as the ttme and place for hearing <br />all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed street vacation. <br /> <br /> The Clerk of the Council is ordered to p~blish this Resolution <br />in the manner prescribed by law for the publication of Ordinances of <br />the City, and the Director of Public Works is ordered to post notices <br />of street vacation conspicuously along the line of said street, stating <br />the passage of this Resolution of Intention to Vacate, and the time <br />and place of hearing thereof. Said notices shall be posted not more <br />than 300 feet apart and at least three shall be so posted.
