SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE 117 MORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br />BETWEEN <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AND <br />CONFIDENTIAL ASSOCIATION OF THE CITY OF SANTTA ANA <br />FOR THE TERM JULY 1, 2022 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2025 <br />This Second Amendment to the Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") is entered into on <br />October 15, 2024, by and between the City of Santa Ana., a charter city and municipal corporation <br />organized and existing under the Constitution and the laws of the State of California ("City") and <br />the Confidential Association of the City of Santa Ana ("CASA") a recognized employee <br />bargaining unit (collectively "Parties"). <br />RECITALS <br />WHEREAS, the Parties have entered into an MOU with a term of July 1, 2022 through <br />June 30, 2025; <br />WHEREAS, on December 5, 2023, the Parties entered into a First Amendment of the MOU <br />amending Section 93 and 9.8(C) regarding payment for employees who are required to work <br />during the holiday closure; and <br />WHEREAS, the Parties now wish to modify Article 10.0 of their MOU as set forth below, <br />THE PARTIES THEREFORE AGREE as follows (additions are underlined and deletions <br />are stricken), <br />I Article 10.0• Section 10.2 + to amend the language as follows: <br />F. Vacation Buy -Back. <br />Through, December 31, 2023 <br />Eiuployees are eligible to require the City to buy back up to eighty (80) <br />hours of their brayed vacation per calendar year. <br />2, Effective JanuM 1 2024 and continuing eve year thereafter <br />a. If an employee wants to cash -out unused vacation leave they <br />accrued during the calendar year, they mist make an irrevocable <br />election by December 15th of the prior calendar year i.e. by <br />December 15, 2023 for a cash -out in calendar year 2024). <br />1 <br />
