CITY COUNCIL 22 SEPTEMBER 17, 2024 <br /> SEPTEMBER 23, 2024 <br />City Manager Alvaro Nuñez spoke regarding evaluation of future funding for <br />events. <br />Councilmember Vazquez spoke regarding the ArtWalk and in support of the item. <br />Councilmember Lopez spoke in support of the item. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Phan spoke in support of the item and requested a more <br />sustainable idea moving forward. <br />Mayor Amezcua spoke regarding shared funding with the schools and in support <br />of the item. <br />MOTION: Councilmember Hernandez moved to approve the recommended <br />action for Item No. 10, seconded by Councilmember Bacerra. <br />The motion carried, 7-0, by the following roll call vote: <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSTAIN: <br />ABSENT: <br />COUNCILMEMBER BACERRA, COUNCILMEMBER <br />HERNANDEZ, COUNCILMEMBER LOPEZ, <br />COUNCILMEMBER PENALOZA, COUNCILMEMBER <br />VAZQUEZ, MAYOR PRO TEM PHAN, MAYOR AMEZCUA <br />NONE <br />NONE <br />NONE <br />Status: 7 – 0 – Pass <br />11.Amendment to the Facilities Use Agreement with the Training and Research <br />Foundation to Add the Logan Community Center as a Service Location to <br />Provide Licensed Afterschool Programming Until the End of the 2024-2025 <br />School Year <br />Department(s): Parks, Recreation, and Community Services <br />Recommended Action: Authorize the City Manager to execute an amendment to <br />the facilities use agreement with the Training Research Foundation (TRF) to add <br />the Logan Community Center as a service location to provide childcare services to <br />Santa Ana children and families, increasing the monthly fee by $600 for a monthly <br />total fee of $2,600 for 10 months, from September 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025. <br />(Agreement No. A-2024-141). <br />MINUTES: Councilmember Vazquez spoke regarding supporting families and in <br />support of the item. <br />Councilmember Hernandez thanked staff for the agreement, spoke regarding the <br />history of the agreement, and in support of the item.
