No, 53-73 Est. 2b-min. zones W. 4th St. at Bristol On recommendation of the City Manager and on motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, the ~yor called for bid~ to be offered on the property described as Lots 3 and 5 of the Main Street Tract, located at the nortl~east corner of 20th and' North Main Streets, at a minimum price of $25,000.00. No bids were presented and the MayoP closed the bidding. Councilman McBride was excused from the meeting at 9:40 P.M. . J. Ogden Markel requested that the Council post South Sycamore Street between Borchard and Edinger Streets for no parking between 2 A.M. and 5 A.M. due to the parking situation. On recommendation of the City Manager and on motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Lateen and carried, the Attorney was instructed to communicate with the League of California Cities and the State Legislators representing this area protesting the state law which prohibits the local Ordinance being enforced and requesting corrections. On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Lateen and carried, the oral request of J. Ogden Markel was denied. A discussi6n was held.refere.nee employment of a Traffic Engineer and the City Manager stated that he had contacted the following Engineerin firms; Cloverdale ~nd ~Colpitts, DeLeuw, Cather and Company, Palmer and Baker, 'Inc., and Hahn, Wise and Associates. On motion cf Trustee Jerome, seconded by Larsen and carried, the City Manager was instructed to contact one of the concerns in an effort to have a representative meet with the Council Monday, May 11, 1953. . On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Lateen and carried, the Attorney was instructed to investigate the proceeding adopted by the City of Sacramento in setting up their parking districts and report to the Council Monday afternoon, May 11, 1953. . On motion of T~ustee Jerome, seconded by Lateen and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Concerning Parking Limitations and curb markings in accordance therewithm establishing twenty-four minute zone on the north side of West Fourth Street between Bristol and Hesperian Streets, was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 53-73 and passed by the following vote.'
