None None The Manager reported that a building permit has not been issued to Jack W. Smith to construct two apartment buildings with six units in each, with garages and laundry rooms in rear, at 619 North Baker Street, and the owner will have to comply with regulations governing adequate parking before permit is issued. On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Dahl and'carried, the request of fifty-six residents and property owners that a crossing guard be stationed at Bristol and Bishop Streets for the safety of the school children, was denied and Clerk instructed to notify Mrs. Lee ¥ile~ of Council action. # On recommendation of the committee-and on motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Lateen and carried,.the request of the Principal, Edison School, 2063 Orange Avenue that an additional cross-wal~ be placed near the school for the safety of the children, was denied. . On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Councilman Jerome seconded by Dahl and carried, the request of T.~.B~rnett, 1055 West Bishop Street, requesting that a fou?-way stop sign be installed at the corner of Bishop and Shelton Streets, was denied. The Manager reported that the Park Board had communicated.with the Division of Highways recommending that permits be granted for the removal of trees on the west olde of South Main Street in the 2000 block. # It was moved by Councilman McBride, seconded by Dahl and carried, that M.A.Nishkian & Company, contractor for the installation of an 8" Navy fuel pipeline between Norwalk and E1 Toro be informed that the City of Santa Ana.is-willing to accept either one of the two alternat~ as indicated Sn their map with the following restrictions: (1) If Alternate Route 1 is substituted that every effort be made to change the location off of Roe Drive; (2) That the installation be designed in conformance with requirements of the City of Santa Ana Engineer in order to avoid interference with City and all utility installations. # On motion of COuncilman Dahl,-seconded by Lateen and carried, the City Council adjourned. ~erk of the Council
