No. 53-89 Designating street name to be Santiago Way On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Larsen and carried, the notification of the State Board of Equalization of alcoholic beverage application made by B~rl F.C.Chase, 1052 W. ~th St., was received and filed. # On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Larsen and carried, the demands as audited by the Finance Committee were approved and the Clerk authorized to issue warrants for same. On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Larsen and carried, the report of the Industrial Committee of-the Chamber of Commerce was relented to the Council as a whole for further study. # Communication was read from The Pacific Telephone and Telegraph CompanE requesting permission to p~aoe a pole on the City Library property in order to provide adequate clearance for telephone lines which provide sea-vice to the Library, and on motion of Councilman. Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the request was referred to the Engineer with power to act. # On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Larsen and carried, the Application of C.J.Black, doing business as Huntington Beach-Santa Ana Bus Line, for a certificate of public convenience and necessity to operate an extended route between Santa Aha and Orange, was referred to the City Manager for investigation and report at the next meeting. On recommendation of the eommittee and on motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Larsen and carried, the bid of the Harrison Pontiac Company was accepted for four eight cylinder automobiles and the installation of "Standard Police Group" as outlined in the bid and all other bids rejected. On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by McBride and carried, the bid of Wager and Walker was accepted for the furnishing of two motorcycles for the Police Depart- ment, and all other bids rejected. On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Larsen and c~urried, the bid of American Cast Iron Pipe Company was accepted for the furnishing of 20,000 feet 6 inch cement lined Bell and Spigot, Class 150, cast tron pipe for water mains, and all other bids rejected. # On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Councilman McBride,~ seconded by Jerome and carried, the bid of V.C.K.Const~ction Company, in the sum of $12,725.6~ was accepted for the construction of a 15" vitrified clay pipe sanitary sewer along Maple Street from Wisteria Place to Chestnut Avenue, and all other bids rejected. # On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Larsen and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution Designating a Certain Street Name to be Santiago Way" was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 53-89 and passed by the following vote:
