WorkingWardrobes <br />W <br />TM1e POwe�at9 PeyCM1BCk <br />City of Santa and Working Wardrobes <br />Workshop/Wardrobe Proposal <br />For the past 34 years, Working Wardrobes has proudly delivered comprehensive career development and <br />job training services to over 125,000 men, women, young adults, and veterans. We understand the <br />multiple barriers to employment that young adults face and we create an environment of dignity and <br />respect that allows clients to become their best, most confident selves. We are prepared to work with <br />clients and tailor our approach to best suit their needs to move them to the next level for their individual <br />success. <br />The goal of this proposal is for The City of Santa Ana and Working Wardrobes to form a collaboration that <br />provides a holistic set of services for their clients. Working Wardrobes offers their expertise in providing <br />workforce readiness skills and professional wardrobe services through our Select Service Program. Below <br />describes program offerings that can be customized to best serve the needs of your program. <br />1. Workforce Readiness Workshops <br />The workshops listed below are sample topics that can be presented at your location or Working <br />Wardrobes Career Success Center. Each workshop is 1 hour 30 minutes (unless indicated otherwise) and <br />includes all materials and a certified facilitator. Workshops can be bundled in a series or scheduled <br />individually. Customized workshops are also available upon request <br />Power of Your Image — (1hr - often paired with our Wardrobe experience) Students will learn how <br />personal branding, including communication, physical appearance, and wardrobe choices, impacts how <br />you are seen by future employers. <br />Navigating Success in a New Workplace —Students will learn to develop 4 professional life skills to help <br />them prepare and thrive in a new work environment. Workability -understanding and meeting <br />expectations on the job; Adaptability -navigating success in the workplace; Respectability —thriving in a <br />multi -generational workplace; Suitability— learning and fitting into the culture of the workplace. <br />Harassment Prevention (1hr)— Students will be able to define and identify inappropriate behavior <br />including discrimination and sexual harassment in the workplace. They will learn about situations as the <br />recipient and how to avoid claims against you by establishing healthy boundaries and maintaining <br />appropriate work relationships. <br />You've Got Skills — Students will be able to identify natural and learned soft skills through a self - <br />assessment activity. Ina group setting, students identify how these skills can translate into any future <br />jobs. <br />Your Resume and the Story of YOU! —Students will learn the core steps to writing a resume. By building <br />on the skills, they have identified in day 1, they will focus on drafting a resume summary that serves as <br />their 'elevator pitch'. <br />Proposal — September 2024 Page 1 <br />
