Mediation Services and Workshops Proposal.-Santa Ana Rent Stabilization Division Thank you for your commitment to the Santa Ana community and reaching out to Groundswell.(formerly OC Human Relations)to support the Santa Ana Rent Stabilization Division in helping renters and property owners/operators in Santa Ana navigate conflict in a more productive way.Groundswell's core focus is on promoting understanding, respect, fostering trust and facilitating dialogue with the intention of creating spaces of belonging.Our experience and expertise allow us to work with diverse demographics to further awareness, empathy.and education;we are grateful for the opportunity to work with the Santa Ana Rent Stabilization Division. Background and Qualifications: Groundswell,the new name of OC Human Relations Council. envisions a world where belonging is co- created and experienced by all.And we do that by bringing diverse people together to build a more equitable future.Systemic inequities lead to differences in understanding and experiences,and ultimately to conflict and hate,which further fueis systemic inequ'ty.Therefore,we: • Bring people together. • Partner to prevent and respond to conflict and harm. • Provide training.tools, and support for leaders. • Change the narratives. We aim for institutional change.Our work leads to changes in attitudes and behaviors,a reduction of hate activity and harmful conflict,and ultimately an increase in equitable outcome.
