<br />carried, the recommendation was approved and request denied.

<br />The Chief of Police. reported that Mr. Houck, proprietor of the Del
<br />Club, 315 North Sycamore Street, had been contacted and is cooperating
<br />in quieting the patrons of his establishment. On motion of Councilman
<br />Dahl, seconded by Larsen and carried, the report was accepted.. On
<br />motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Larsen and carried, the Clerk
<br />was instructed to write a letter to Mr. W.H.Spurgeon Jr. in answer to
<br />his complaint, advising him of the Police report.

<br />Communication was read from the City Engineer advising that improve-
<br />ments within the boundaries of Tract No. 1589 have been completed, an4
<br />on motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Larsen and carried, bond
<br />filed by Melody Homes, Inc., in the sum of $3~,500.00 was ordered
<br />released.

<br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the
<br />Minutes of the Executive Committee of the Joint Outfall Sewer meeting
<br />held at Anaheim, July 9th, 1953 .and Civil Service Board Minutes dated
<br />July 8th, 1953, were received and filed.
<br />
<br />On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Larsen and carried,
<br />Commission initiated Amendment Application No. 101 reclassifying the
<br />property east of Standard Avenue from Delhi Road to the City Limits
<br />line, which is approximately 335 feet north of St. Andmews Place, from
<br />
<br />R-1 to R-3 District, was tabled.

<br />It wa.s moved by Councilman Jerome, seconded by Larsen and carried,
<br />that the City Manager and the City Attorney be instructed to prepare
<br />a Resolution for presentation to the City Council at their next meet-
<br />ing providing for salary and wage adjustments for various class-
<br />ifications of City employment; such Resolution to be based upon the
<br />report of surveys and salary comparisons supplied to the Council by
<br />
<br /> the City Manager.

<br />On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Larsen add carried, the
<br />following Resolution entitled:

<br />On recommendation 'of the Purchasing Agent and on motion of Councilman
<br />Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the Clerk was authorized to
<br />advertise for bids for the furnishing of 1,000 water meters, 5/8" x
<br />3/~", without connections, reading in cubic feet, bronze composition
<br />main casings, complying with standard adopted by the AWWA; bids to
<br />be opened August 3rd, 1953.
