Book 17, Page (801 N. ~ain) applicant, Pub Wks, Bldg~ Planning RESOLUTION NO. 60-91 Bank of America Natl.Trust & Savings Assoc. ~ CORRECTING AND AMENDING ~ RESOLUTION NO. 60-1 GRANTING VARIANCE ON APPLI- CATION NO. 1223 WHEREAS, on January 4, 1960 the Cityl Council of the City of Santa Ana adopted Resolution No. 60-1 granting a~Variance on Application No. 1223 as reco~mendedby the Planning Conunission by modifying one of the recommended conditions to change the re- quirement that the building be set back 15 feet as shown on Parking Plan C to require that building be set back 6 feet O 6 inches as shown on Parking Plan B to provide more off street parking than said Plan C would have provided; and WHEREAS, the condition as expressed in said Resolution No. 60-1 read as follows: "1. That no part of the building be constructed closer than 6 feet 6 inches from the street right of way." and it was the intention that the face or perpendicular front wall of said building should be set back 6½ feet from the property line and not the intention that the estimated edge of the over- hanging eaves should be kept 6% feet from the property line. To require said eaves to be maintained 6½ feet from said property line would move the entire building to the rear a sufficient dis- tance to make Parking Plan B unusable and said Plan was the one this city Council intended to require. The purpose of the set back was to graduate the building fronts on a step basis and to afford an area of vision with which said eaves or roof overhang will not interfere. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That condition numbered 1. in Resolution No. 60-1 is hereby corrected and amended to read as follows: That the face or perpendicular front Wall of the building shall be constructed no closer than 6 feet 6 inches from the street right of way line."
