Book 17, Page <br /> <br />(801 N. ~ain) <br /> applicant, Pub Wks, Bldg~ <br /> Planning <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 60-91 <br /> <br /> Bank of America Natl.Trust <br /> & Savings Assoc. ~ <br />CORRECTING AND AMENDING ~ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 60-1 GRANTING VARIANCE ON APPLI- <br />CATION NO. 1223 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on January 4, 1960 the Cityl Council of the City <br />of Santa Ana adopted Resolution No. 60-1 granting a~Variance on <br />Application No. 1223 as reco~mendedby the Planning Conunission <br />by modifying one of the recommended conditions to change the re- <br />quirement that the building be set back 15 feet as shown on <br />Parking Plan C to require that building be set back 6 feet <br /> <br />O <br /> <br />6 inches as shown on Parking Plan B to provide more off street <br /> <br />parking than said Plan C would have provided; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the condition as expressed in said Resolution <br />No. 60-1 read as follows: <br /> <br /> "1. That no part of the building be constructed closer <br /> than 6 feet 6 inches from the street right of way." <br /> <br />and it was the intention that the face or perpendicular front <br />wall of said building should be set back 6½ feet from the property <br />line and not the intention that the estimated edge of the over- <br />hanging eaves should be kept 6% feet from the property line. To <br />require said eaves to be maintained 6½ feet from said property <br />line would move the entire building to the rear a sufficient dis- <br />tance to make Parking Plan B unusable and said Plan was the one <br />this city Council intended to require. The purpose of the set <br />back was to graduate the building fronts on a step basis and to <br />afford an area of vision with which said eaves or roof overhang <br />will not interfere. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That condition numbered 1. <br />in Resolution No. 60-1 is hereby corrected and amended to read as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />That the face or perpendicular front Wall of the <br />building shall be constructed no closer than <br />6 feet 6 inches from the street right of way line." <br /> <br /> <br />
