4 4 7: Council Chamber Santa Aha City Hall. August 17, 1953. 7:30 P.M. City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by the Mayor. Present: Absent: Oounoilmen Councilman William Jerome, Thomas. F. Larsen, Milford W. Dahl, Oourtney R. Chandler. J. L. McBride. Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of August 3 and 10, 1953, reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried. . In Re This being the date set for hearing on the Amendment Application of Amend. Application Reclassify property Nc.side of Occidental St. bet. Cypress & Main (John F. Shoemaker) John F. Shoemaker, for a change of District classification of the prop- erty on the north side of Occidental Street between Cypress and Main Streets from the R-2 to the C-1 District and no protests having been received, it was moved by Councilman Jerome, seconded by Dahl and car- tied, that the City Attorney prepare an amendment to the Municipal Code In Re Bids Copper Conductors and Cables (Fire Dept.) to reclassify Lots 10, 11 and 12 in Block J of Tract No. 252. # On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Larsen and carried, bids were ordered opened for the furnishing and delivering of 9,000 feet of six twisted pairs of No. 16 solid (AWG) copper conductors and three No. 12 solid (AWG) conductors in cable form; and 6,000 feet of two twisted pairs of No. 16 solid (AWG) copper conductors and two solid (AWG) con- ductors in cable form, as follows: United States Rubber Company--certified Cheek $400.00, Price per Reel Price Item Total Price Cable Item Price Total Cable Reels Price per Lineal feet of Cable 0,1~1 Item #1 275.00~M" 25.00ea. 2549.25' '~774.2~' " 2 141.00/M' 15.00" 871.38 961.38 plus tax The Ansonia Wire & Cable Company--certified check $462.00. On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Larsen and carried, the bid of The Seagrave Corporation filed at 7:35 P.M. was received for opening. On motion of Councilman Dahl; seconded by Larsen and~carried, bids for One 1000 gallon per minute Triple Combination Pumper and Hose Truck were ordered opened, as follows: Crown Body and Coach Corp.--Bid bond 10%. Bristol & Main Sts. bids were referred to the City Manager, Fire Chief and Purchasing Agent to report at the next meeting. On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, bids for the construction of a sanitary sewer along Delhi Road between Bristol and Main Street were ordered opened, as follows: W. C.
