Brookman <br /> <br />In Re <br />Variance <br />Rainspray, Inc. <br /> <br />In Re <br />Variance <br />Walter Cole etux <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, <br /> <br />on motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the <br /> <br />following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br />"Resolution No. 53-130 authorizing ~nd directing <br />the Clerk of the Council to advertise for bids <br />for the construction of a 12" and 15" vitrified <br />clay pipe sanitary sewer along Chestnut Avenue <br />between Maple and Orange and on Orange Avenue <br />between Chestnut and First Street, in the City <br />of Santa Ana and fixing the prevailing wage rate" <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen <br /> <br /> Noes, Councilmen <br /> Absent, Councilmen <br /> <br />0n motion of Councilman Jerome, <br /> <br />William Jerome, J.L.McBride, <br />Thomas F. Larsen, Milford <br />Courtney R. Chandler. <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />Dahl, <br /> <br />seconded by Larsen and carried, <br /> <br />Resolution to establish one-hour parking on both sides of North Main <br /> <br />Street from 10th to Santa Clara Avenue was referred to the committee <br /> <br />on curb usage for report. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, <br /> <br />seconded by Dahl and carried, proper <br /> <br />officials were authorized to execute Agreement dated July 1, 1953, <br /> <br />with the Chamber of Commerce covering sums of monies to be expended <br /> <br />for advertising.purposes; Agreement to expire June 30, 1954. <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, proper <br /> <br />officials were authorized to execute Agreement dated September 10, <br /> <br />1953, with L.F,Radtke, to construct a canopy and four posts upon <br /> <br />property at 619 West First Street, a portion of which construction <br /> <br />will extend over and upon the thirty-five foot set-back line. <br />,, <br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br /> <br />granted to Liltie M. Goddard to permit constructign of a duplex at <br />1016 West Bishop Street, subject to the condition that accessible <br /> <br />parking spaces for three cars be provided. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Da.hl, seconded by I~rsen and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br />granted to Cecil A. Broclmam to permit placir~ of a 50 square foot <br />neon sign in the front yard back of the established set-back at 1~33 <br /> <br />South Bristol Street. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Larsen and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission wa~ approved and variance <br />granted to Rainspray, Inc., to permit a reduction in the set-back to <br /> <br />a minimum of 20 feet from the front property line in Tract No. 1724, <br />being property located on the west side Of Bristol Street between <br /> <br />17th Street and Memory Lane. <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, <br /> <br />seconded by Larsen and carried, the <br /> <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br /> <br />granted to Walter and Matryce Cole to permit a reduction in the front <br /> <br />set-back to 50 feet in Tract No. 1788 located on the west side of <br /> <br />King Street to the Santa Ana River between 15th Street and Washington <br /> <br />Avenue. <br /> <br /> <br />
