Maize <br /> <br />Communication was read f~om Attorney Royal E. Hubbard on behalf of <br />Sandetrom Construction Investment Company reference proposed Tract <br /> <br />No. 1855 fronting on Walnut Street between Baker and Bristol Street <br />and setting forth the requirements as requested by the Engineer's <br />offiee in excess of those required of other residential traete. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Jerome, seeonded by Lateen and esmrled, <br />that the Council will undertake to pay such costs as determined by the <br />Director of Public Works as repr%senting the additional charge of the <br />cost for street construction over and above that normally undertaken <br />by the subdivider on a residentfal street of 60 ft. width. This plsm <br />is based upon such payment by the City in instances where the street <br />in quest£on is either a portion of the major street agreement of the <br />State of California or is designated by a policy of the City Council <br />as being a portion of the City Street system on which the development <br />is required to handle full vehiculsm traffic in large volumes and <br />significantly g~eater than that whichwould be proDosed on a resident! <br />street. It was moved by Councilman Jerome, seconded by Lateen and <br />carried, that the Director of Public Works be directed not to require <br />Sandetrom Const'ruotlon Investment Company to pave the northerly portic <br />of Walnut Street adjacent to Bristol Street easterly 108.6 feet. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Lateen, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and vamiance <br />g~anted to James A. Milliken to permit alteration of a non-eonforming <br /> <br /> duplex at 1023} Cypress Avenue. <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by La. sen and esmried, the <br />variance application of Leu J. Kilgore to permit construction of a <br />modern elx unlt court-type building to be used for medical and dental <br />professions; and a re.etlon in the front set-back to 40 feet at 111- <br />115 East Pomona Street, subject to certain conditions, was referred <br />to the Council as a whole until such time as a plot plan is presente~ <br /> <br /> and provision made for off-street pemklng. <br /> # <br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Larsen and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved~and variance <br />gTanted to O"-a~lee and Roberta L. Oohen to permit construction of a <br />building for doctor's and/or medical offices at the northwest corner <br />of Borchard and Bristol Streets, consisting of two lots, subject to <br /> <br /> certain conditions. <br /> # <br />On motion of Oouncllman McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning 0ommieslon was approved and variance <br />granted to Santa Aha Community Hospital to permit use of property for <br />professional building and parking lot located on the south side of <br /> <br /> East Washington Avenue, in the 600 block, subject to certain conditio~ <br /> # <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Lavsen and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and vsmlanee <br />g~anted to Jesse H. Maize to permit conversion of a single family <br /> <br /> residence into a duplex at 335 East McFadden Street. <br /> # <br /> <br /> <br />
