Beemen, for injuries <br /> sustained when she fell at the Community Center Club House, in the sum <br /> <br /> of $80.00, was referred to the Attorney and Insurance Carrier. <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Oouncilman McBride, seconded by Larsen and carried, the <br /> Minutes cf the Executive Committee of the Joint Outfall Sewer meeting <br /> held at Anaheim, September 3rd, 1953, were received and filed. <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Larsen and carried, the <br /> applications of Ronnie L. Haines and Francis E. Buck to drive taxicabs, <br /> <br /> were received and Permits granted. <br /> # <br /> The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, <br /> on recommendation of the committee and on motion of Councilman McBride, <br /> seconded by Lateen and eamried, the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "CoDcerning Parking Limitations and Cumb <br /> Markings in Accordance Therewith" <br /> <br /> establishing a twenty~fou~ minute zone at ~07~ West Seventeenth Street, <br /> in accordance with the request of Harley F. Lee, was considered and <br /> passed by the following vote= <br /> <br /> Ayes, Councilmen William Jerome, J.L.McBride, <br /> Thomas F. Larsen, Milford W. Dahl. <br /> Noes, Councilmen None <br /> Absent, Councilmen Courtney R. Chandler. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Councilma_~l Jerome, <br />seconded by. Larsen and carried, the request signed by five merchants <br />located in the 200 block West Third Street that the present loading <br />zone on the south side of West Third Street at the corner of Broadway <br />be moved to 208 West Third Street, was denied. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Larsen and carried, the <br />oral report of the Chief of Police was accepted reference request of <br />Mrs. N.E.McOlain, 802 East Santa Clara Avenue, that action be taken <br />to prevent dogs dest. roying plants and flowers and being a nuisance to <br />the neighborhood. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Chief of Police and on motion of Councilman <br />McBride, seconded by Larsen and carried, the request of fifteen <br />residents and property owners that stop signs be installed on Cubbon <br /> <br />and Cypress Avenue, was denied. <br /># <br /> <br />The Assist.ant City Engineer reported that a twenty-five foot curb <br />permit was issued to Reno Logier, to be used as an approach to garages <br />for a triplex at 1020-20~-22 West First Street. On motion of Council- <br />man Je.rome, seconded by Larsen and carried, the oral report was <br /> <br />accepted and request for a thirty-three foot curb permit filed. <br /># <br /> <br />The Chief of Police reported that an investigation had been made of <br />the Acapulco Cafe, 2026 West Fifth Street and had found no evidence of <br />indecent operation and management of the cafe. On motion of Councilman <br />Jerome, seconded by Lateen and carried, the oral report was accepted <br />and written report of the investigating officers and petition ordered <br />filed. <br /> <br /> <br />
