4 7 9 In Re Communication Marsh & McLenBan Fire Protection for Kerr Glass Co. Communication was read from Marsh & MeLennan,Insurance Carriers, requesting fire protection for Kerr Gla~s Co~pany located outside of the city limits. On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Larsen and carried, t~he communication was received, filed and Clerk instruct- ed to advise the Insurance Carriers that the City enters into no contract or agreement to give fire protection or fire service outside of its limits and that the only way such service could be given to In Re Opinion -Closing of Flower Street at Santa Ana Blvd. In Re Communication Mrs. J.K.Johnston the Kerr Glass Company would be to have the area annexed to ti~e City. On motion of Councilman McBride, seconded by Dahl and carried, the written opinion of the Attorney in regard to closing Flower 9treet at Santa Ana Boulevard, was received and filed. The Manager reported reference the request of Mrs. J.K.Johnston, 854 McFadden Street that a t~wentY-ftve mile zone be established on McFadden Str'eet from Hal~iay Street t o Standard and that twenty-five mile per hour signs be installed in the area, and stated that the request has In Re Construction of foot-bridge o+er Santiago Crees been complied with. It was moved by Councilman Dahl, seconded by Larsen and carried, that the Manager be instructed to see that the work is undertaken and begun in,mediately on the construction of a foot-bridge over Santiago Creek from the west end of River Lane to the north end of Baker Street.
