<br /> <br /> EMPG Program Appendix | February 2021 Page H-11 <br />NIMS implementation requires jurisdictions to ensure that their incident personnel receive pertinent NIMS <br />training in alignment with the NIMS Training Program. Jurisdictions report their NIMS implementation <br />status of their jurisdiction and sub-jurisdictions, including the training of personnel, using the 2021 SPR. <br /> <br />All EMPG Program-funded personnel are expected to be trained emergency managers. All EMPG Program- <br />funded personnel shall complete either the Independent Study courses identified in the Professional <br />Development Series or the National Emergency Management Basic Academy delivered either by EMI or at <br />a sponsored state, local, tribal, territorial, regional or other designated location. To ensure the <br />professional development of the emergency management workforce, the recipients must ensure a routine <br />capabilities assessment is accomplished and an IPP is developed and implemented. <br /> <br /> <br />4 NIMS training courses IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, and IS-800 only need to be taken once to fulfill requirements. Also, <br />previous versions of the IS courses are still considered as meeting the NIMS training requirement.
