<br /> <br /> <br />Section 3 ‒ State Changes and Initiatives | 2021 <br /> <br />California <br />Homeland <br />Security Strategy <br />Goals <br />The State has prioritized the following California Homeland <br />Security Strategy Goals for the FY 2021 subawards: <br />1. Enhance Information Collection, Analysis, and Sharing, <br />in Support of Public Safety Operations Across California; <br />2. Protect Critical Infrastructure and Key Resources From <br />All Threats and Hazards; <br />3. Strengthen Security and Preparedness Across <br />Cyberspace; <br />4. Strengthen Communications Capabilities Through <br />Planning, Governance, Technology, and Equipment; <br />5. Enhance Community Preparedness; <br />6. Enhance Multi-Jurisdictional/Inter-Jurisdictional All- <br />Hazards Incident Catastrophic Planning, Response, and <br />Recovery Capabilities; <br />7. Improve Medical and Health Capabilities; <br />8. Enhance Incident Recovery Capabilities; <br />9. Strengthen Food and Agriculture Preparedness; <br />10. Enhance Homeland Security Exercise, Evaluation, and <br />Training Programs; and <br />11. Protect Against Effects of Climate Change <br />“On Behalf Of” Cal OES may, in conjunction with local approval <br />authorities, designate funds “on behalf of” local entities <br />who choose to decline or fail to utilize their subaward in a <br />timely manner. <br />Public Alert and <br />Warning <br />Cal OES encourages Subrecipients to consider use of this <br />funding to assist their jurisdiction’s alignment with the State <br />of California Alert and Warning Guidelines developed <br />pursuant to Senate Bill 833 of the 2018 Legislative Session.
