Gates W. <br /> Burrows p~esented an additional petition containing four signatumes <br /> On motion of Oouncllman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br /> supplemental petition was received, filed and made a part of the <br /> protest.file. William F. Wenke, 1818 Poinsettia Street, requested <br /> that the variance be given further consideration. Walter Tipton <br /> stated the request for the variance is justifiable for various reason <br /> Mr. Burrows gave his reasons why the area should continue to be a <br /> residential area and opposed the granting of the variance. W.E. <br /> Woody, 610 East l?th Street stated the prOPerty had been properly <br /> posted. On motion of Councilman Larsen, seconded by Jerome and <br /> carried, the variance was refer~ed to the Planning Commission for <br /> <br /> further consideration at their next meeting. <br /> # <br /> <br />.On motion of CouncilmanMcB~ide, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br />granted to Glenn Osborne etux, to permit construction of a dwelling <br />on the rear of the lot at 1320 East Fourth Street. <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Ds/al and carried, the <br /> <br /> recommendation of the Planning 0ommission was approved and variance <br /> Jr. <br /> granted to Hugh M. Neighbo~_/etux to permit construction of a duplex <br /> <br /> on each of the two lots at the southeast corner of Bristol and Santa <br /> <br /> Clara Avenue. <br /> # <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Dab1, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br />granted to Leon H. Jackson etux to permit construction of two modern <br />four-unit apartment buildings and an eight oar garage at 1016 North <br /> <br />Van Ness Avenue. <br /> # <br />On motion of Councilman Larsen, seconded by Dahl and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was disapproved and variane~ <br />denied to Nelle M. Lips to permit construction of a residence and <br />carport on rear of lot and a reduction in the rear yard to foum feet <br /> <br />at 801 North Louise Street. <br /> # <br /> <br />The Council havingunanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, <br />on motion cf Councilman Larsen, seconded by Dahl and carried, the <br />following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 53-163. denFi~g variance <br /> application of Nelle M. Lipe~where Planning <br /> Commission recommended approval' <br /> <br />was considered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Councilmen William Jerome, J.L.McBrlde, <br /> Thomas F. Larsen, Milford W. Dahl, <br /> Courtney R.
