Sycamore St. <br /> <br />In Re <br />Abandonment <br />Portion of Greenleaf <br />St. extending between <br />Santa Clara and Bonnie <br /> <br />(Allison Honer) <br /> <br />In Re <br />Communication <br />dated Feb. 21st, <br />1930. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Lateen and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br />granted to Ramona O'Xeefe and Patrioia Harris to permit use of the <br />north sixty-three feet of property at 201 East Ninth Street as a <br /> <br />parking lot, subject to certain conditions. <br /> # <br />Communication.and Resolution No. 588 of the Planning Commission were <br />read on the application of Bruce W. Albert etal, recommending the <br />reclassification from the R-1 District to the~ District Lots 2 <br />through ll and X, Block A; and Lots 1 thmough 3, Block B, Tract No. <br />451, N.M. 16-41, located on the north side of West Washington Avenue <br />between College Avenue and English Street. On motion of Councilman <br />Dahl, seconded by Larsen and carried, a notice of publt~hearlng was <br />ordered published setting date of hearing as December 2lst, 1953. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, TentatiVe <br />Map of Tract No. 2053 submitted by D. D. Hillyard for Victor M. <br /> <br />Walker, consisting of thirteen lots located south of Santiago Creek <br /> <br /> and west of North Olive Lane, was approved. <br /> # <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, Map of <br />Tract No. 1965 and agreement submitted by Frank Hllditch etal, for <br />the dedication of Larohmont Avenue, Grovemont Street, Joana Drive andi' <br />a portion of Lincoln Avenue for highway purposes, and bond in the <br />of $19,300.00, were approved and officials authorized to sign Map andi' <br />agreement. <br /> <br />A petition was read signed by 114 persons requesting that necessary <br />steps be taken to improve the streets in the amea known ~s Delhi <br />comprised of the property bounded on the north by Delhi Road, on the <br />east by Halladay Street, on the west by Main Street and on the south <br />by Emmett Street. On motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Jerome <br />and carried, the petition was received, filed and referred to the <br />Clerk to determine the number of residents or percentage of resident <br /> <br />signers. <br /># <br /> <br />A petition was read signed by thirty residents requesting school <br />zoning signs in the proper blocks on South Sycamore Street approach- <br />lng Cubbon Street and Spurgeon School. On motion of Councilman <br />Jerome, seconded by Lateen and carried, the request was referred to <br />the committee on curb usage for recommendation and report at the next! <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Allison Honer verbally requested the abandonment of that portion of <br />Greenleaf Street extending between Santa Clara Avenue and Bonnie ~ae <br />reserving an easement for sewer and storm drain pipelines. On <br />motion of Councilman Jerome, seconded by McBride and carried, the <br />Attorney was instructed' to prepare necessary proceedings to abandon <br /> <br />the property with a reservation of a utility easement to be determined. <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of 0ouncilman Larsen, seconded by Jerome and carried, <br />communication addressed to Allison Honer, dated February 21st, 1930, <br />and signed by members of that 0ounoil, expressing appreciation for <br /> <br />his efforts in de,eating the recall 'campaign, was received and-filed. <br /># <br /> <br /> <br />
