W. Smith, was considered and passed by the following <br />vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen <br /> <br />Noes, Councilmen <br />Absent, Councilmen <br /> <br />William Jerome, J.L.NcBride, <br />Thomas F. Larsen, Milford W. <br />Courtney R. Chandler. <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />The 0ouncil having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, <br />on motion of Councilman Dahl, seconded by Larsen and oarrled, the <br />following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br />"Resolution No. 53-169 authorizing execution <br />of quitclaim deed' <br /> <br />· o W.T.Grant Co. to release an easement for sewer lateral at the <br /> <br />northeast corner of East Fourth and Push Streets, was considered and <br /> <br />passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen <br /> <br />Noes, Councilmen <br />Absent, Councilmen <br /> <br /> William Jerome, J.L.McBride, <br /> Thomas F. Larsen, Milford W. <br /> Courtney R. Chandler. <br /> None <br />None <br /> <br />Communication was read from Attorney Winthmop Gordon stating that it <br /> <br />was the' understanding that no sidewalks would be required to be furn- <br /> <br />ished by the First Cha'istian Church as a condition of the variance <br /> <br />application of Samuel J. and Mary B. Stronge and Helen B. Smith, <br />granted by the Council on June 1, 1953. It was moved by Councilman <br />Dahl, seconded by Larsen and carried, that the communication be <br /> <br />received, filed and Director of Public Works be infommed that it was <br /> <br />the intention of the Council that the 0brunch not be required to con- <br />struct sidewalks on the east side of the proposed street. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Manager and on motion of Councilman Dahl, <br />seconded by Larsen and carried, the bid of A.M. Donaher and Son, in <br />the sum of $3,965.00, plus Sales Tax, was accepted for the fumnishing <br />of ode f~ont end truck loader. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Manager and on motion of Councilman Dahl, <br />seconded by McBride and carried, the bid of Burroughs Cg~poration, in <br />the sum of $2,870.10, was accepted for the furnishing 6f an accountin <br /> <br />machine and <br />It was moved <br />C. DeVote <br />of Tract No. <br />and east of <br /> <br />all other bids rejected. <br /> <br />by Councilman Jerome,seconded by Dahl and carried, that <br />be informed that the City will not approve Tentative Map <br />2011 for the development of the property south of Edingex <br />Baker Street until provision has been made for the <br /> <br />dedication of Baker Street as a full width street, and the street be <br /> <br />developed in complete conformance with city requirements. <br />, <br />The Manager recommended denial of the request of four ~roperty owners on <br />the corners of Santa Clara and Baker Streets that the intersection be <br /> <br />made a four-way stop. On motion of CoUncilman Lars~n,. seConded.by <br />Jerome and Carried, the recommendation was approved and the request <br />denied. <br /> <br /> <br />
