Fairview Street Improvement Project from 171" Street to Trask Avenue <br /> February 4, 2025 <br /> Page 2 <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br /> A Categorical Exemption is applicable to this project because it involves minor <br /> alterations to an existing roadway. Based on the Analysis Supporting Categorical <br /> Exemption — Fairview Street Widening Project (Exhibit 4), unusual circumstances <br /> leading to potential significant environmental impacts would not occur. The proposed <br /> project is exempt from further environmental review under the requirements of CEQA <br /> because it falls under the list of classes of projects that have been determined not to <br /> have a significant effect on the environment and have been declared exempt by the <br /> Legislature in accordance with the CEQA Guidelines (Class 1 Exemption). Categorical <br /> Exemption number ER-2025-4 was filed for this Project. The exempt status is under <br /> California Code of Regulations Title 14, Section 15301(c) because it involves minor <br /> alterations to an existing roadway.
