CITY OF SANTA ANA <br /> DEFINITION OF BID ITEMS <br /> PROJECT NO.: 25-6030 <br /> TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION AT SEGERSTROM AVENUE AND ROSEWOOD <br /> AVENUE <br /> DEFINITION OF BID ITEMS <br /> The unit prices paid for the items listed in the Contractor's Proposal as defined herein shall be <br /> considered full compensation for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment, and doing <br /> all work involved in furnishing and installing the materials complete and in place, in accordance <br /> with the details shown on the Plans, as specified herein, and as directed by the Engineer. <br /> All incidental work which is neither shown on the Plans nor otherwise specified, and which is <br /> necessary to complete the improvements as shown on the Plans and as specified in the Contract <br /> Documents (defined in the Contract/Agreement),shall be furnished and installed as though such <br /> work were shown on the Plans or specified in the Contract Documents, and no additional <br /> compensation shall be allowed therefore. <br /> The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, each bid item listed in the Contractor's <br /> Proposal and as described in the following. <br /> Bid Item No. 1 - Traffic Signal Installation at Segerstrom Avenue and Rosewood Avenue <br /> This work consists of installing traffic signal including Standards, Poles, Controller Cabinet <br /> Assembly, Electrical Pedestal Assembly, Vehicles and Pedestrians Signals, Luminaires, Vehicle <br /> and Pedestrians Detectors, Pedestrian Push Button Assembly, APS System, Video Detection <br /> System, EVP System, Signs, Conductors and Cables, Wiring, Removing, Reinstalling or <br /> Salvaging Equipment, and any other work required to provide the intended operation at the <br /> locations shown on the project plans. <br /> Payment for traffic signal work shall be included in the lump sum price paid for Traffic Signal <br /> Modification except for other listed contract bid items. The lump sum price bid for Traffic Signal <br /> Modification shall be considered full compensation for furnishing all labor,materials, equipment, <br /> tools and incidentals and no additional compensation will be allowed therefore. <br /> Bid Item No. 2- Install 2" PVC Conduit <br /> This work consists of furnishing installing Polyvinylchloride (PVC) traffic signal and/or <br /> interconnect communication conduit including pull tape, ground wire, fittings, duct seal, pot <br /> holing, concrete or asphalt restoration and appurtenances complete and in place, of the size <br /> indicated on the plans. <br /> Payment for the installation of 2"PVC Conduit shall be at contract unit price bid per Linear Foot <br /> listed in the Bid Proposal and shall be considered full compensation for furnishing all labor, <br /> materials, tools, equipment, removals, paving, landscape repair, sidewalk restoration, pothole, <br /> and/or trench backfill per City Std. Plan 1150, permanent asphalt replacement, permanent PCC <br /> replacement, striping and appurtenances for all related items of work necessary for the installation, <br /> and no additional compensation will be allowed therefore. <br /> 1 of <br />
