<br />CUSTOMER SERVICE MESSAGING:
<br />In early 2024, the Police Department received complaints regarding LAZ’s lack of
<br />customer service. As a result on August 7, 2024, the Police Department hosted training
<br />and instituted a Community Engagement Enforcement Philosophy. This new approach
<br />was delivered to all Santa Ana Police Parking Control Officers and LAZ Parking
<br />Ambassadors. The new approach was to implement two aspects prior to enforcement,
<br />which were education and warnings. The purpose of this philosophy was to teach our
<br />LAZ Ambassadors about creating positive community engagement experiences with
<br />those who violated parking laws. Additionally, the Police Department instructed the
<br />Parking Enforcement personnel on the importance of communication and listening skills
<br />during all contacts.
