RESOLUTION 68-66 ORDERING THE VACATION OF AN
<br />ALLEY LYING EASTERLY OF WESTERNAVENUE, BETWEEN
<br />SIXTH AND SEVENTH STREETS AND RESERVING THEREIN
<br />AN EASEMENT FOR PACIFIC TELEPHONE COMPANY
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, on recommendation of the Department of Public Works
<br />and the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Aha, Resolution
<br />68-49 was adopted giving notice of intention to vacate that certain
<br />right of way herein described, reserving therein an easement for
<br />Pacific Telephone Company; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, on May 6th, 1968, public hearing was duly held on
<br />said vacation on posted notices and the publication of said
<br />Resolution 68-49;
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the
<br />City of Santa Ana hereby finds that that certain alley lying easterly
<br />of Western Avenue, between Sixth and Seventh Streets, herein described,
<br />is unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes and does
<br />hereby make its order abandoning and vacating for alley purposes that
<br />certain right of way in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange,
<br />State of California, described as:
<br />
<br />That certain 15.75 foot wide alley in Chandlers Addition to
<br />Santa Ana, in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State
<br />of California, as per map recorded in Book 4, Page 37, of
<br />Miscellaneous Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of
<br />said County, bounded easterly by the southerly prolongation
<br />of the East line of Lot 22 in said Chandlers Addition and
<br />Westerly by the Southerly prolongation of the Westerly line
<br />of Lot 28 in said Chandlers Addition.
<br />
<br />RESERVING an easement and right of way, 5.00 feet in width,
<br />the center line of which is 8.00 feet northerly of the
<br />Southerly line of said alley, to construct, place, operate,
<br />inspect, maintain, repair, replace, and remove such aerial
<br />and underground telephone, telegraph, and communication structures
<br />as the Pacific Telephone Company may, from time to time require,
<br />consisting of poles, anchors, wires, cables, conduits, manholes,
<br />markers, and necessary fixtures and appurtenances.

<br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
<br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 6th day of May, ~9~.
