RESOLUTION 68-76 APPROVING MAP AND DECLARING <br />INTENTION TO VACATE EXCESS RIGHTS OF WAY ON <br />THE SOUTH SIDE OF FIRST STREET BETWEEN DAISY <br />AND MAIN STREETS AND GIVING NOTICE OF HEARING <br />THEREON <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, because of the realignment of First Street, certain <br />rights of way along the south side of First Street are no longer <br />necessary for present or prospective street purposes, and the <br />Planning Commission and Department of Public Works of the City of <br />Santa Aha have recommended that a public hearing be set on said <br />street vacation; and <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Ana hereby approves the maps attached hereto and orders <br />the same filed with the original of this Resolution in the office of <br />the Clerk of the Council, and reference is hereby made to said map <br />for the exterior boundaries of said rights of way proposed to be <br />vacated; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: ~hat the City Council declares its <br />intention to proceed under the provisions of the Street Vacation Act <br />of 1941 (Sections 8300 through 8374 of the California Streets and <br />Highways Code) to vacate those portions of excess rights of way on <br />the south side of First Street, between Daisy and Main Streets, in <br />the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Parcel 1: <br /> The North 12 feet of the following described property: <br /> <br />The East 200 feet of Lot One of Tract No. 905 as shown on a <br />map recorded in Book 32, Page 16, of Miscellaneous Maps, <br />Records of Orange County, California; P~ESERVING THEREFROM a <br />spandrel shaped parcel of land bounded on the North by the <br />North line of said Lot 1; bounded on the East by the East <br />line of said Lot 1; and bounded Southwesterly by a curve <br />concave Southwesterly, having a radius of 25 feet and tangent <br />to said North and East boundaries. <br /> <br />Parcel <br /> <br />That portion of the Northeast quarter of Section 14, Township <br />5 South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana, <br />described as follows: Commencing at the Northeast corner of <br />said Section 14, being the intersection of the center lines <br />of First Street and Bristol Street, as shown on a map of <br />Tract No. 2678, recorded in Book 83, Pages 12 and 13 of <br />Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California; <br />thence South 89~ 32' 15" West 909.00 feet along said center <br />line of First Street; thence South 0° 13' 00" East 30.00 feet <br />to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence South 89° 32' 15" West <br />48.95 feet to a line parallel with and distant Easterly 30.00 <br />feet, measured at right angles, from the center line of Pacific <br />Avenue, as shown on said map; thence South 0" 15' 37" East <br />36.91 feet along said parallel line to the beginning of a <br />tangent curve concave Southeasterly having a radius of 25.00 <br />feet; thence Northeasterly along said curve through a central <br />angle of 89~ 47' 52" a distance of 39.18 feet; thence North <br />89v 32' 15" East 24.03 feet; thence North 0~ 13' 00" West <br />12.00 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; P~ESERVING THEREFROM <br />a spandrel shaped parcel of land bounded on the North by a <br />line parallel with and 30 feet southerly measured at right <br />angles from the center line of First Street; bounded westerly <br />by a line parallel with and 30 feet westerly measured at right <br />angles from the center line of Pacific Avenue; and bounded <br />Southeasterly by the arc of a curve concave Southeasterly, <br />having a radius of 25 feet and tangent to said North and West <br />boundaries. <br /> <br /> <br />
