RESOLUTION 68-96 ORDERING THE VACATION OF EXCESS RIGHTS OF WAY ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF FIRST STREET BETWRRN DAISY AND MAIN STREETS WHEREAS, on recommendation of the Department of Public Works and the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana, Resolution 68-76 was adopted giving notice of intention to vacate certain excess rights of way on the South side of First Street between Daisy and Main Streets; and W~EREAS, on June 17th, 1968, public hearing was duly held on said vacation on posted notices and the publication of said Resolution 68-76; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds that~se certain excess righ~of way on the South side of First Street, between Daisy and Main Streets, are unnecessary for present or prospective street purposes and does hereby make its order abandoning and vacating for street purposes those certain rights of way in the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of California, described as: Parcel 1: The North 12 feet of the following described property: The East 200 feet of Lot One of Tract No. 905 as shown on a map recorded in Book 32, Page 16, of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, california; RESERVING THEREFROM a spandrel shaped parcel of land bounded on the North by the North line of said Lot 1; bounded on the East by the East line of said Lot 1; and bounded Southwesterly by a curve concave Southwesterly, having a radius of 25 feet and tangent to said North and East boundaries. Parcel That portion of the Northeast quarter of Section 14, Township 5 South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana, described as follows: Commencing at the Northeast corner of said Section 14, being the intersection of the center lines of First Street and Bristol Street, as shown on a map of Tract No. 2678, recorded in Book 83, Pages 12 and 13 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California; thence South 89° 32' 15" West 909.00 feet along said center line of First Street; thence South 0° 13' 00" East 30.00 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; thence South 89° 32' 15" West 48.95 feet to a line parallel with and distant Easterly 30.00 feet,measured at right angles, from the center line of Pacific Avenue, as shown on said map; thence South 0° 15' 37" East 36.91 feet along said parallel line to the beginning.of a tangent curve concave Southeasterly having a radius of 25.00 feet; thence Northeasterly along said curve through a central angle of 89" 47' 52" a distance of 39.18 feet; thence North 89° 32' 15" East 24.03 feet; thence North 0~ 13' 00" West 12.00 feet.to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING; RESERVING THEREFROM a spandrel shaped parcel of land bounded on the North by a line parallel with and 30 feet southerly measured at right angles from the center line of First Street; bounded westerly by a line parallel with and 30 feet westerly measured at right angles from the center line of Pacific Avenue; and bounded Southeasterly by the arc of a curve concave Southeasterly, having a radius of 25 feet and tangent to said North and West boundaries. -1-
