RESOLUTION 68-86 ORDERING THE VACATION OF A
<br />PORTION OF SIXTH STREET BETWEEN FLOWER AND
<br />GARNSEY STREETS, RESERVING EASEMENTS THEREIN
<br />FOR PUBLIC UTILITIES
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, at the request of the Civic Center Commission and
<br />on the recommendation of the Department of Public Works and the
<br />Planning Commission of the City of Santa Aha, Resolution 68-68 was
<br />adopted giving notice of intention to vacate that portion of Sixth
<br />Street lying between Flower and Garnsey Streets; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, on June 3rd, 1968, public hearing was duly held on
<br />said vacation on posted notices and the publication of said
<br />Resolution 68-68;
<br />
<br /> NOW, THEREFOP~E, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of
<br />the City of Santa Ana hereby finds that that portion of Sixth Street
<br />lying between Flower and Garnsey Streets is unnecessary for present
<br />or prospective street purposes and does hereby make its order
<br />abandoning and vacating for street purposes that certain right of
<br />way in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California,
<br />described as follows:
<br />
<br />That portion of Sixth Street bounded westerly by a line parallel
<br />and 53.00 feet easterly, measured at right angles, with the
<br />center line of Flower Street as shown on a map recorded in Book 85,
<br />Page 2, Records of Survey, in the office of the County Recorder
<br />of Orange County, California, and bounded easterly by the westerly
<br />line of Garnsey Street as shown on said Records of Survey;

<br />RESERVING AN EASEMENT and right of way , 5.00 feet in width, the
<br />center line of which is 26.50 feet southerly, from the center line
<br />of said street to construct, place, operate, inspect, maintain,
<br />repair, replace, and remove such aerial and underground telephone,
<br />telegraph and communication structures as the Pacific Telephone
<br />Company may, from time to time, require, consisting of poles,
<br />anchors, wires, cables, conduits, manholes, markers, and necessary
<br />fixtures and appurtenances;

<br />ALSO RESERVING AN EASEMENT and right of way, 5.00 feet in width,
<br />the center line of which is 24.00 feet southerly, from the center
<br />line of said street to construct, place, operate, inspect, main-
<br />tain, repair, replace, remove, and enlarge lines of pipe and
<br />other structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation of gas
<br />lines as the Southern Counties Gas Company may, from time to time,
<br />require;

<br />ALSO RESERVING AN EASEMENT and right of way, 10.00 feet in width,
<br />the center line of which is 20.00 feet northerly, from the center
<br />line of said street for a potable water main for the City of
<br />Santa Ana.

<br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Santa
<br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the 3rd day of June, 1968.
